The Morbihan Tourist Board
A team in the service of tourism in Morbihan !
The Morbihan Tourist Board is the organism responsible for the development of the promotion and the touristic communication of Morbihan.
The board is appointed by the Conseil Général: its actions are specified through the "schema de développement touristique 2006-2010"("2006-2010 touristic development programme"). This tool which is the result of a real exchange between the different partners of tourism, determines the great tendencies and objectives of the departmental policy of tourism.
A complete team works to achieve and lead this "schéma" through an organization in 4 important missions:
1. Developing the touristic offer :
- Assistance and advice to project-carriers? whether they are private, associative, public or institutional.
- Organization and coordination of the touristic partners.
- Watching and economical observation of tourism.
- Organization of the National Contest of Flowered Towns and Villages.
- Advice for the label "tourism and disability".
2. Promoting Morbihan :
- Development and positioning of the touristic picture of Morbihan thanks to different tools: media relations, creation and circulation of editions.
- Programming the common promotion actions and assisting the partners in their commercial prospecting.
- Treating the request of touristic information and documentation.
- Circulation of the touristic information via the mass-media and out-of media supports.
- Development of media relations.
3. Management of the tools and data treating of the departmental network :
- Installing the multi-media supports.
- Ruling the departmental network of touristic information.
4. Marketing the touristic offer :
- Marketing packaged touristic products proposed by professionals.
- Marketing a range of touristic products of the department.
- Conseil et Assistance au développement commercial des produits
- Display of online sales tools which tend to professionalize the touristic partners.
- Attending the "Groups" section at the regional and departmental level.
